[Announce] Meetings and Letters

Dear All,

There are two upcoming meetings about the proposed landfill in the  
Pine Bush:

Wednesday, June 11, 6:15 PM, Second Floor, City Hall.  Meeting of the  
Common Council's General Services and Health Committee.  Public  
comment will be taken (I suggest you read the attached PDF letter  
from DEC)

Thursday, June 19:
CITY OF ALBANY RAPP ROAD WASTE MANAGEMENT FACILITY
LANDFILL OPERATIONS UPDATE MEETING at the POLISH COMMUNITY CENTER 225  
Washington Ave. Ext. Albany, NY 12205
Note from the meeting notice: The City of Albany will be hosting a  
Landfill Operations Update Meeting to provide an update of operations  
at the facility.

I hope that everyone can come out for the two meetings.  Please read  
the attached DEC letter, which is extremely critical of how the City  
has managed its solid waste.
