Dear All,

Mark Your Calendar! Please come!

WHEN: Tuesday, June 26, 2007
TIME: Meeting begins at 7:00, this case is last on the agenda, so
please arrive by 8:00
WHERE: Town of Clifton Park Town Hall, One Town Hall Plaza, Clifton
Park, NY 12065

Last year, the Town of Clifton Park Planning Board gave site plan
approval to DCG Development Corporation to build warehouses on Karner
Blue habitat.

Save the Pine Bush sued the Town of Clifton Park. We lost when the
judge ruled that Save the Pine Bush did not have standing to bring
the case.

Site plan approvals are good for a limited period of time. Tomorrow,
the Planning Board will decide whether or not to give a site plan
approval extension to DCG.

There will be a public comment period.

We must appear in force to oppose this extension! I am emailing this
notice not only to the people who have participated in the hearings
on this issue previously, but to the Save the Pine Bush Landfill
Committee in hopes that people on the landfill committee will lend a
hand to this extremely important issue.

Among the other issues with this proposed development, is the Karner
Blue Butterfly Management plan prepared by the developer, DCG. I
have attached the Management Plan below. It is a very short,
extremely inadequate document. Prior to the original site plan
approval, no public comment was taken on this document.

For more information, read about the Save the Pine Bush lawsuit:

Read Save the Pine Bush comments on this development:

Agenda for June 26

If you don't have time to read all of this, just come to the hearing
anyway. Just get up and say that the Karner Blue is too endangered
and too important to have a warehouse built over its habitat.

For more information, please feel free to contact me at
lynnejackson at mac.com or contact
Bill Engleman, at wilengl at yahoo.com

Bill Engleman has been fighting to protect this area for nearly two
decades. We MUST come out on Tuesday night to oppose this
development! We MUST tell the Planning Board how important the
Karner Blue is to us!

Sincerely,

Lynne Jackson

PS - There are no set times for the public comment on the site plan
extension. The cases are taken in order they appear on the agenda.
The case might be heard at 8:00 or later. Plan on staying for a
while! The members of the Planning Board want us not to show up and
not to stay and speak. So, lets stay until the end!

Here is the ridiculous Karner Blue Management Plan:
