[Announce] Meetings for the Week of July 16

Dear All,

There are TWO meetings we all must attend this week.  Please note  
them on your calendar and let me know if you can attend.

1) Tuesday, July 17 at 5:15 PM, Albany City Hall, Second Floor:
General Services, Health & Environment meets on Tuesday, July 17 at  
5:15 PM in the City Court Room at City Hall.  The Committee will  
receive an update on the current status of the Rapp Road Landfill  
from the Department of General Services.
It is EXTREMELY important that we all attend this meeting! Public  
comment is allowed, so it is especially important that we attend.   
And, we should all speak.

2) Save the Pine Bush Vegetarian/Vegan Lasgana dinner, Wednesday,  
July 18
Val Washington, who is the Deputy Commissioner of the Department of  
Environmental Conservation for Solid Waste will speak about Solid  
Waste policy in NYS.  I cannot emphasize more the importance of  
attending our dinner on Wednesday.  This will be our opportunity to  
ask the top DEC person about the proposed landfill expansion.

I know this is a lot of meetings. But, it is essential that we attend  
both these meetings.  Please email me back if you can come!
