[Announce] REVENUE for Albany?

People commute to Albany via car to work. They use the city, its roads, its infrastructure, but do not pay taxes to the City of Albany. Cars contribute to a host of ills. Why not follow the lead of NYC and try to charge cars coming in to Albany, say weekdays 7 am - 9am, and 3pm - 6pm? No idea how this could work, in practice, toll booths at exit ramps? A big outcry, I'm sure, but could boost CDTA ridership, decrease maintenance needed on roads, etc. It would not penalize people coming in during the non peak commuting hours, so would not hurt the entertainment/arts/cultural etc. enterprises that Albany so needs people to avail themselves of to remain a thriving urban hub.

Subject: [Announce] Ideas
I have an appointment to see the Albany City Comptroller, on Thursday so if you have been waiting to send your ideas/thoughts regarding revenue for the City so that they do not have to expand the dump into more of the Pinebush, please don't wait any longer but get them to me.
There have been some great ideas sent in and I am hoping that our efforts will persuade the City officials that there are other alternatives.
